Q. Is there a piece in the collection that brings back a personal memory or reminds you of your own childhood?
A. The woodland artwork I created for Pottery Barn Kids was inspired by childhood summers spent in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. It feels especially nostalgic to me, as it brings back some of my most treasured memories at my grandmother’s home. I love seeing the artwork carried throughout the collection—from the crib sheet and hand-embroidered baby quilt to the playful crib mobile.
Q. Which piece would you most love to have in your own home or children's room?
A. I really love the Scallop Floral Canopy. It's such a beautiful statement piece, but I also love how it creates a distinct 'space' within a room. It adds a sweet whimsical touch when draped over a bed, or it can be hung in a corner to create a cozy little reading nook that feels entirely its own.
Q. What do you hope families feel when they bring these pieces into their homes?
A. I hope this collection brings a sense of warmth, comfort, and quiet joy into their homes. A child’s room is the backdrop for so many meaningful everyday moments, and I wanted these pieces to help create a space that feels peaceful and imaginative.
Q. What details do you think make these pieces feel uniquely Rylee + Cru?
A. The soft, nature-inspired color palette, hand-drawn artwork, and thoughtful details all feel distinctly Rylee + Cru. The collection has a sense of whimsy, but it is balanced by a timeless simplicity that allows each piece to feel special without overwhelming the space.
