Having lived and grown up my whole life in California, I am inspired by the rugged beauty of this place. The cliffs on the coast, the trails in the mountains, and the raw beauty of the desert draw my imagination to so many places. I imagine families and communities moving westward 200 years ago with all of their possessions in the back of a horse-drawn wagon.
The pioneer spirit comes with real adventure, danger, and the ability to never give up. I am in awe of what these folks accomplished and endured in their quest to find a better life for themselves and their families. This collection pays homage to their amazing journeys across the prairies of this great county.
