We recently sat down with Lindsay Arnold for a special Q+A as we prepare for our upcoming collaboration launching 04.23.26. It was such a meaningful conversation for us as we got to talk about the inspiration behind the collection, Lindsay’s personal style, and the shared values that brought this partnership to life. Hearing her perspective and creative energy made the entire process feel even more personal and intentional. Q+A
Q. How would you describe your personal style, and how has it evolved since becoming a mom?
A. My style has definitely become more effortless and practical since becoming a mom. I usually start my day in activewear, and then wear pieces throughout the day that are comfortable but can easily transition with whatever the day holds.
Q. You’re known for your sweet matching moments. What do you love most about dressing in “Mommy + Me” looks with Sage and June?
A. My girls are my best friends! It is so fun getting to style outfits with them and they love getting to match their mom! It is always so special to share this moment with my girls. I can’t wait for baby boy to be a part of it soon, too.
Q. What do you look for when choosing outfits for Sage and June, and how did that influence the pieces in this collection?
A. I always look for pieces that are cute, comfortable, and versatile. My girls are constantly on the move, whether it’s dance class or riding bikes, so quality really matters. For this collection, I wanted to create timeless pieces that still capture the playful, carefree spirit of childhood.
Q. When did you first discover Rylee + Cru, and what made you fall in love with the brand?
A. I fell in love with Rylee + Cru soon after having my first daughter, Sage! Their pieces are so timeless and high quality. They have now become a staple for our second daughter June as well!
Q. This collection is inspired by sun-soaked memories. What are some of your favorite summer memories with the girls?
A. We love traveling to Hawaii as a family, which has quickly become one of our favorite places to visit. We could lay by the beach/pool all day and be happy just being in the sun as a family. We also travel to Lake Powell every summer. The unplugged, carefree moments at the lake are ones I always treasure the most.
Q. What was your favorite part of working with the Rylee + Cru team and being involved in the design process?
A. The Rylee + Cru team has been so inviting in this whole process from the start. From intro calls to design calls, getting to be so involved in this collection makes it that much more special. Their team is truly so talented and kind. Sage and June helped select their favorite pieces and watching them fall in love with every outfit and feel so happy and confident in each piece was so special!
Q. Do you have a favorite piece (or a few!) from the collection, and how are you styling them for Sage, June?
A. I’m so obsessed with the entire collection, it’s truly so hard to choose just a few! The Tori Skirted one pieces for the girls are SO adorable. I also love the knit set, and anything I can match the girls in. I’ll be styling the girls in these all summer for the pool, trips, dinner, etc. - truly everywhere we go!
Q. You have a little one on the way - and it’s your first boy! How do you think your style as a mom will change with a boy? Do you see yourself wanting to coordinate looks with him and the girls?
A. I’m so excited to be a boy mom! It already feels like such a new season, and I can’t wait to style him in pieces from this collection and coordinate looks with his big sisters.
