The Rylee + Cru Foundation | A History of Giving
The Rylee + Cru Foundation
A History of Giving
Since the Inception of Rylee + Cru, there has always been a desire to use the brand to promote good and find a way to give back to different communities, both on a local and national level.
By following their passion for philanthropy and hearts for others, the Rylee + Cru Collective founders, Kevin Murray and Kelli Larson, created and founded The Rylee + Cru Foundation in 2017.
Our foundation is rooted in the idea of philanthro-capitalism meaning, business has the ability to create support and financial resources for those in need and that we can be better neighbors and citizens through taking action.
We are overcome with gratitude and appreciation for our team, our family, and our community.
Because of you, we are able to give back.
2024
Hurricane Relief.
$135,796.50
The following non profits received a 10,000.00 grant
Team Rubicon: for their work in clearing debris and opening roads in the most impacted areas.
Samaritan's Purse: coordinated hundreds of relief flights by helicopter and fixed-wing aircraft to assist cut-off communities in western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee. Now they are using ground transportation to deliver critically needed items, including generators
Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina: Second Harvest has been supporting this critical work, focusing on both life-saving and life-sustaining efforts – from delivering prepared meals and kitchen equipment for the makeshift mess hall to providing log splitters, propane, CO2/smoke detectors, and more.
World Vision USA: coordinating the distribution of winter clothing to families in Western North Carolina who have lost everything after Hurricane Helene. In this effort Rylee + Cru was able to ship winter/cold weather clothing with a cost value of 35,796.50
It is Well Foster Care: helping cover the costs of temporary housing, home repairs, and other urgent needs, ensuring that foster families can quickly restore safe living environments for the children in their care.
French Broad River Academy: this school is a home base for coordinating a variety of specialized volunteer operations, ranging from mobile reconnaissance teams to large resource distribution. The diversity of their efforts throughout the region enables them to maximize their impact, by filling in the gaps of aid provided to their rural communities in western NC.
Babies Need Bottoms: they are the only diaper bank based in Western North Carolina. Diapers, wipes, formula and baby hygiene supplies are being distributed to families in partnership with Baby2Baby and the North Carolina Diaper Bank to cover as many bottoms as possible and insure families have what they need to care for their babies.
Fellowship Asheville: they are serving as a large distribution center to many local communities as well as the hard to reach mountain towns in and around Asheville that need supplies brought in by mules
Magical Moments Therapeutic Riding Center: is home to many different therapy services. They use horses as a tool in therapy as part of a hippotherapy approach, offering occupational therapy, speech therapy, mental/behavioral health therapy, to underserved children in their community. Hurricane Helene completely destroyed their facility and are beginning the long process of rebuilding.
Local City Church: they serve the community directly after hurricanes hit in home cleanup, getting resources directly to those in need through outreach partners and organizing volunteers.
