Gratitude Garland: A Thankful Thread
This cozy, nature-inspired craft helps little ones celebrate what they’re thankful for—all while creating something beautiful to hang at home for the season.
What You’ll Need:
Paper in soft, neutral tones (or recycled kraft paper)
Safety scissors
String, twine or ribbon
Hole punch
Crayons, markers or colored pencils
Optional: pressed leaves, stickers, or fabric scraps for decorating
How to Make It:
Cut out shapes – Trace and cut out leaf, star, or heart shapes from the paper. (Parents can help with this part!)
Write or draw thank-you's – On each shape, have your child write or draw something they’re thankful for—a favorite snack, sibling snuggles, or storytime with mom or dad.
Punch and string – Use a hole punch to make a small hole at the top of each shape, then thread them along the string.
Hang and enjoy – Display your gratitude garland across a mantle, window, or wall as a gentle reminder of all the little things to be thankful for.
Tip: Add a few new “thankful leaves” each day leading up to Thanksgiving for a growing display of gratitude!
A Note to End With Love
“In this season of gratitude, I’m most thankful for the little hands that reach for mine and the love that fills our home.” – Unknown
This holiday season we hope you find joy in the quiet, meaningful moments - warm snuggles, gentle routines, and the simple beauty of time spent together.

Thanks for spending part of your November with us. Until next month, stay cozy and enjoy every sweet moment.
